Lucky (Aparshakti Khurana) is an out-of-luck former wedding band singer in love with Rupali (Pranutan Bahl), who supplies flower arrangements for shaadis, and the story takes set in Raj Nagar, a north Indian village. Lucky is out of options when it comes to persuading Rupali’s father (Ashish Vidyarthi) that he is a suitable groom. A stroke of luck pushes him to sell condoms, a product he was previously too embarrassed to inquire about at his neighborhood pharmacy. IMDB
If you’ve opted to take a risk with a topic like condom use in a country where sex and birth control are still taboo topics in most households, it’s only natural to go all in. Helmet, on the other hand, takes the initial risk but then pulls back. Although a scene in a brothel (with a very stunning Anurita Jha) mentions men’s refusal to use condoms because they believe it interferes with their “mazaa,” the film’s overarching, overpowering impression, the theme emphasized throughout the story, is that men’s shyness is the main issue.
