Comer has another 20th Century Studios picture, Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel, coming out in 2021 via Disney, similar to Free Guy. Comer co-stars alongside Adam Driver, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck as Marguerite de Carrouges, a woman who accuses Driver’s Jacques Le Gris of rape, leading to the final duel in 14th-century France between Damon’s Jean de Carrouges, Marguerite’s husband, and Le Gris. The picture also represents a return to screenwriting for Damon and Affleck, who penned the male perspective and screenwriter Nicole Holofcener wrote the feminine perspective. IMDB
At times, I’m probably my worst critic. That was an unusual experience for me because I had recently finished a lengthy project; Killing Eve lasted five or six months. Then I boarded a six-hour trip to New York, slept for a few hours, awoke, and thought to myself, “Whoa, OK.” This is a significant event. This is a huge chance.” So I had plenty of time to consider all the ways I could have gone wrong. (Laughs.) However, I had the impression that the audition went well. I suppose it has something to do with the environment Ryan and Shawn established for me, but there’s something about auditions that makes you wonder, “Ah, why did I speak the line that way?” as soon as you walk out the door. I could have phrased it in a different way.
