Before I examine “Chehre,” I have two ideas. The first is as mysterious as the story: Why is Amitabh Bachchan listed as a “Friendly Appearance” yet he is there throughout the movie? Two, Alexx O’Nell, who had a minor role in the film, is likely the only foreign actor whose first name is spelled according to numerology! Let me begin by resolving another puzzle: why is Bachchan credited as a writer although he is not formally included in the credits? Simple: according to a press statement from the producer, he has written a long monologue but has not claimed credit for it. IMDB
Then there’s the film, whose pre-climax is reminiscent of the superbly-crafted but box-office flop “The Body” (2019), in which Emraan Hashmi starred with Rishi Kapoor and comparable climatic and climactic conditions were present! Unlike the last picture, which was based on a Spanish film, this one is believed to be based on a Swiss novel. And this demonstrates how rarely unique thrillers are produced in Hindi film! However, the picture stands on its own as a well-crafted, well-mounted, and overall unique feature. Ironically, the final feature also demonstrates why the film will not be a box office success.
