Just two main characters, Ella Purnell’s Kate Ward and Omari Hardwick’s Vanderohe, survive the Las Vegas mission in Army of the Dead. Scott Ward, played by Dave Bautista, is among the dead, as we see him bitten in the final fight with Zeus. Scott is mercifully killed by Kate before he turns, just as Scott once reluctantly killed her mother. Vanderohe’s days are numbered as well. In the film’s final scene, Vanderohe flees to Mexico City with his casino money, only to discover that he, too, was bitten and infected during his battle with Zeus. We can only presume Vanderohe will quickly transform into an Alpha zombie and start a new epidemic when his scheme comes to fruition.
